ML: MODERN LANGUAGE

    ML 101 102 Beginning Chinese 1 & 2. This course is a beginning study of the Chinese language and culture and is designed to introduce the student to the basic skills of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Chinese (Pin Yin System). Emphasis is placed upon learning basic Chinese sentence patterns and the use of spoken Chinese through question and answer drills and daily oral recitation in class. In addition, students need to memorize 1 John chapters one and two along with two hymns. First semester, ML 101; second semester, ML 102. Three credit hours.
